We asked our customers to be Secret Santa to these children and matched every donation we received spreading joy and healing to thousands of children in the festive season.
Make-A-Wish Foundation? of India since 1995 has granted the wishes of 61,458 children across its 10 offices in the country. For these children—between 3 and 18 years—painful treatments and endless rounds of hospitals is a way of life, and the fulfilment of a long cherished wish not just gives them joy but has a therapeutic impact, making treatment more effective and helping their recovery.
Breast cancer is the second most common cancer detected in rural India. However, due to lack of awareness and adequate screening programs, many cases are only detected in an advanced stage. The SPARSH Rural Hopsital's outreach program conducts cancer awareness sessions across 48 villages in Maharashtra. During Breast Cancer Awareness month, we asked our customers to join our fight against the disease, matching every contribution we received for the cause. Because together, we are tougher than cancer.
SPARSH Rural Hospital's cancer diagnostic and referral facilities conduct outreach programmes and early detection cancer awareness sessions across 48 villages in Osmanabad and Latur districts in Maharashtra. The diagnosed women are then connected to different government schemes which further assist them in their treatment at the Nargis Dutt Memorial Cancer Hospital.
Unprecedented heavy rainfall caused flooding in many parts of the country, claiming hundreds of lives. Lakhs of people lost their homes and were forced to live in emergency relief camps. We wanted to help raise funds to give these flood displaced people a chance at a new beginning by focusing on immediate relief, food, hygiene kits, shelter and child protection. Customers were encouraged to donate to the cause and we matched their contributions doing our little bit to help those in their darkest hour.

P.R.I.D.E. India's Beauty and Wellness Course creates employment opportunities for rural women, specifically girls who drop out of school. We couldn't have found anything more suited to our ethos. So far, 180 women in rural areas have been trained in basic and advance beautician courses. Nykaa supported P.R.I.D.E.'s initiative during the Joy Of Giving Week and donated money towards the Beauty and Wellness Course.
Established in 1982, P.R.I.D.E. India supports health and education initiatives for women and children in rural communities. So far, P.R.I.D.E. India has helped uplift 15 lakh underprivileged people.
The floods in Kerala caused unimaginable havoc; more than 350 people died, and over one million were rendered homeless. With our customers' support, we contributed to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund to help the disaster afflicted. Customers were encouraged to donate to the cause when they shopped on Nykaa and we matched their contributions; helping our displaced brethren to rebuild their lives.
To mark Mother's Day, Nykaa undertook a CSR activity to raise funds for Sparsh, a neonatal facility being run by P.R.I.D.E. India. We believe that each one of us has the power to change lives, and we were proud to be able to contribute to the phenomenal work P.R.I.D.E India is doing across the country. We donated a percentage of every purchase made on the site towards building this facility for pre term babies in rural Maharashtra. There's no better way to celebrate Mother's Day!

Nykaa's CSR activity on the occasion of Women's Day helped transform the lives of India's little girls who will grow up to be responsible women and play an important role in shaping the future of our country.
Project Nanhi Kali empowers more than 100,000 girls across rural, tribal and urban regions in nine states of India by providing them with high-quality education support and resources. The program includes academic support, material support such as school bags, books, shoes and uniforms, and social support that mobilizes parents and communities to play an active role in the education of their girls. The project was started by Mr. Anand Mahindra in 1996. Since 2015, the program is jointly managed by K.C.Mahindra Education Trust and Naandi Foundation.

The end borrowers are the working poor of India in need of a small capital to create a source of livelihood.
